I may very well have realized a secret favorite holiday of mine. And it is not for the upfront bold celebration filled with champagne and glamour, it is more the subtle quiet meaning of a restart. A jolt of recharge to get you continuing on this life trek. It is the chance to think back about your journey thus far and to peer into your awaiting possibilities. I love the opportunities it brings, perhaps an excuse to update a wardrobe to support a new look for a new outlook or a reason for change, no matter a small update or a big upgrade. I see it as a time to reevaluate time.
How should I value my time going forward? One thing that I have learned that everyone already tells you all your life is, life is short. Or, things change. That includes, you, priorities, dreams, desires. I have come to realize it is okay, normal, and somewhat endearing to watch myself grow.
Another comparison comes to mind. It is like what we are all supposed to do with your 401k investment portfolio every year. Review and adjust. How did we do? How should we change?
Whatever the case, my goals this year is simple. Someone challenged me to really dig down inside of myself and find my true passion. I constantly have so much going on and not enough of myself to focus. I am told that once I find that thing I really want to do, I will excel greater than I would otherwise. I hope to find it... while also planning my new life this year now that I am part of a pair.
Yes, a pear in a pair tree is more insightful than people let on. At first, yes, it is almost indifferent besides the surface name change and others' acceptance of you as a coupled item. But within a month, I learned it is beyond the self-explanatory. It begins by your acceptance of you as a coupled item. The beauty in it is the appreciation of a true commitment and real companion. Then, the real change happens when your actions follow that mindset. It leads your desire to build and encourages your excitement to share. What is amazing is that you can be aligned with each other only based on one mere thought. It can be a very powerful unity, especially when sparks fly, the clock strikes midnight, and you get a little jumpstart sitting on that tree.
Happy new year!
