"no pressure"
our lives are so short here on earth. everyday you decide how you want to spend the rest of this life through the actions you take. it can be a decision subconsciously commonplace. or it can be a decision so deeply contemplative you spent every waking moment dreaming so you can feel like you are awake in a dream.
sometimes i wish i could tell the young and naive me years ago about all that i have learned. no, lil' lanlan, you don't know everything in the world. no, you can't act like a child forever. and yes, things will be okay.
maybe then, would i have grown up sooner. would i have been more prepared. would i have made better decisions.
but i wouldn't be who i am today. be so blessed in this amazing unplanned plan. and yes, things are still okay.
i finally get it.
you ride the rollercoaster until you are not afraid anymore. you force away your sweaty palms gripped tightly around that metal bar and hold your hands up high in the air, like you just don't care. you trust yourself. you no longer hate the bumpy ups and downs, you embrace the excitement. you appreciate the thrill and enjoy the breeze.
