"more than what meets the i"

i love knowing more about a person than a name and his upcoming weekend activity.  i want to know what experiences built his strength.  i want to listen to his aspirations and how he plans to accomplish them.  i want to be there for support, so i can cheer when he succeeds.

i enjoy knowing more about a person than meets the eye.

i think part of the reason why i am not so good at "business" small talk is because I am more inclined to wonder about their day.  what is their lifestyle?  how do they spend their evenings, watching drama shows after making a home-cooked meal... or passing out next to a tv dinner after happy hour? what is happening in their life that may affect their social well-being?

yeah, that seems more small talk than normal small talk, but i really am interested.

maybe i care a lot about ppl in general.  supposedly, you are to list out a few non-negotiable traits that is important in your pick of sig other.  i suppose one of my top 3 would be someone that genuinely cares about others.

it always makes me happy inside when i see family care for one another.  or, if you've been to a basketball game with me, i like taking pics of team huddles or handshakes with opposing players.  or, i like meals when friends share and celebrate their friendships.

it also makes me happy inside when ppl care about me.  i like the sense of appreciation i feel, yes even more than selfishly enjoying it!
