isn't it weird
things happen when you least expect it
things appear when you aren't looking
things come and go as if it never happened

is it life
keeping us on our toes
staying interesting
creating surprises

keeping my eyes open
awake with hope
full of curiosity
glazed over illusions

and once i blink
do i realize and wish
if you just realize what i just realized

but once i close
i realize and know
that i've grown no matter what becomes

so i fall into sleep
realizing regardless of today
my tomorrow is better
