"isn't it ironic, don't you think?"
ever since i revamped this blog a while back,
i decided on a few things:
to write for myself, without concern for xanga-esque eprops, friend shout-outs, or cliche pics,
to provide an outlet in a personal journalistic form,
but in less-than-obvious conveyance that allows a small room for artistic freedom,
perhaps similar to that of based-on-a-true-story exaggerations
or hidden meanings of a lyrical song with reason behind each word choice.
thus explains my obsessive infatuation with double entendre,
newfound appreciation of puns,
and constant search for clever expressions.
i want to write entries
that resonates with the inner me,
like a secret joke or subliminal reference,
that triggers a relational connect
with a felt emotion or memorable story.
so, the slightest chance of a straightforward personality
huffed and puffed and blew out the window.
the irony here is,
today, i just want to tell you,
clearly and directly,
exactly what i'm feeling,
with precision and confidence.
but yesterday has come
and gone.
the irony here is,
yesterday, i craved chick fil-a,
free coupons taunting in my face,
my fist up in the air as i drove pass;
oh sunday, bloody sunday.
but today comes by,
and nothing.
why is it i only want what i can't have?
